Welcome to weddintimes (“Platform”), an online matrimonial service dedicated to helping individuals find compatible life partners. By accessing or using Weddintimes, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

1. Eligibility

To register as a member of weddintimes, you must meet the following eligibility criteria as per Indian marriage laws and platform-specific requirements:

1.1 Legal Age & Marital Status

• In accordance with the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, Special Marriage Act, 1954, the legal marriageable age in India is 18 years for females and 21 years for males. Users must confirm that they meet this criterion before registering.
• Users must be single, legally divorced, or widowed at the time of registration. Individuals currently engaged in bigamy or polygamy, where not legally permissible, are prohibited from using this platform.
• weddintimes reserves the right to verify marital status and terminate fraudulent accounts.

1.2 Competency to Marry

• Users must be mentally sound and legally capable of entering a marriage contract.
• Users convicted of serious criminal offenses (e.g., domestic violence, harassment, dowry cases) may be restricted from accessing the platform.

1.3 Purpose of Membership

• This platform is strictly for serious matrimonial purposes and not for casual dating, time-pass interactions, or commercial services.
• Misuse of the platform for non-serious intent will result in account suspension.

2. User Responsibilities

Users must follow specific code of conduct guidelines while using weddintimes. Any violation will lead to strict action, including account termination and legal consequences.

2.1 Profile Authenticity & Truthful Information

• Users must provide accurate, genuine, and up-to-date personal information.
• Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information will result in profile deletion.
• The platform reserves the right to request identity verification documents (such as Aadhaar, PAN card, Passport) to ensure authenticity.
• In case of false representation, users will be reported under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 415 & 417 (cheating and dishonesty).

2.2 Respectful Interactions

• Harassment, stalking, or offensive communication is strictly prohibited.
• Any form of discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, or background will result in profile suspension.
• Users violating these guidelines may face legal consequences under Section 354D IPC (stalking) and Section 509 IPC (insulting modesty of a woman).

2.3 Account Security & Confidentiality

• Users are solely responsible for their account credentials and must not share their passwords with anyone.
• weddintimes is not liable for unauthorized access due to user negligence.
• If an account is hacked or misused, users must immediately inform support@weddintimes.com.

3. Membership & Payment Policy

weddintimes offers both free and premium memberships with different features. Users opting for paid services must abide by the following terms:

3.1 Free Membership

• Free members can create a profile, browse matches, and express initial interest.
• Access to premium features (e.g., direct messaging, profile boosting) is restricted.
• The profile will be saved within 3 months without subscription.

3.2 Paid Membership

• Premium memberships offer additional features such as priority listing, advanced matchmaking algorithms, and verified badges.
• Payment once made is non-refundable.
• Users found violating platform policies will not be eligible for refunds upon termination.
• Payments are processed via secure payment gateways (RBI & IT Act 2000 compliant).
• Profile will be saved after subscription with 1 year + 3 months extension as a reminder call. After that profile deactivated.

4. Privacy & Data Protection

weddintimes follows Indian IT Laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Data Protection Bill, 2022, ensuring user privacy and data security.

4.1 Data Collection & Storage

• The platform collects basic personal details (name, age, gender, religion, etc.) and sensitive information (contact details, caste, preferences, etc.).
• Data is encrypted and stored securely as per ISO 27001 Data Security Guidelines.

4.2 Data Usage & Sharing

• weddintimes does not sell or misuse user data.
• Data is shared only with third-party verification agencies to prevent fraud.
• Users can request data deletion at any time by emailing privacy@weddintimes.com.

5. Prohibited Activities

To maintain a safe and respectful community, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Fake Profiles & Impersonation – Users must not create deceptive accounts.
• Harassment & Misconduct – Users must not engage in abusive or offensive behavior.
• Dowry & Financial Transactions – Any exchange of money for marriage-related matters is illegal under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
• Unauthorized Data Scraping & Hacking – Any attempt to extract data, spam users, or hack profiles will result in legal action under IT Act, 2000.

6. Termination of Account

6.1 Voluntary Termination

• Users may choose to delete or deactivate their account anytime.
• Upon deletion, all data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except for legal compliance purposes.

6.2 Involuntary Termination

• weddintimes reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations such as: o Fake profile creation

o Inappropriate conduct

o Unauthorized business promotions

o Criminal behavior (e.g., threats, fraud)

• Terminated users are not eligible for refunds.

7. Liability Disclaimer

• weddintimes does not verify the backgrounds of registered users.
• weddintimes is not responsible for any disputes, fraud, or failed relationships arising from connections made on the platform.
• Users are advised to exercise due diligence and conduct independent background checks before committing to any matrimonial alliance.

8. Jurisdiction & Legal Compliance

• These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
• Any disputes shall be exclusively resolved in the courts of Ghaziabad, India.
• Users found violating these terms may face legal action under Indian Penal Code, IT Act, and Matrimonial Laws.

9. Changes to Terms & Conditions

• weddintimes reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
• Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the platform implies acceptance of the updated terms.
